Summary:

The Commercial Service Advisor Assistant is a part of a collaborative team and serves as the face of the Stivers Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Department by greeting and welcoming customers as the enter the department.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Greets customers as they enter the commercial service department/li>
    • Perform vehicle walk-around, record milage, Vin numbers, damage, transport vehicles, and write up repair orders
    • Initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested
    • Participates in the preparations of an annual operating budget and monitors success of achieving KPIs
    • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders, maintain customer rapport and records wholesale and internal accounts, and the DIY public
    • Ascertains automotive problems and services by listing to customers description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspection, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records and examining service schedules
    • Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor
    • Calculates customers payment, including deductibles
    • Prepares Repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.
    • Obtains approval signatures and enters RO into service database system
    • Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customers approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns, and arranging towing and temporary transportation
    • Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers publications
    • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Education & Experience:

    • HS Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Customer focused, people oriented, and a team player
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
    • Detail oriented and organized
    • Confident and decisive
    • Dependable
    • Ability to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed
    • Must be able to pass a background check, and Motor Vehicle Report

Compensation:

    • $16.00 to $25.00hr
