Summary: Stivers Midwest Pro Upfitters, a subsidiary of Stivers Ford Lincoln is a 42-year-old family-owned business. SMPU provides communications solutions and emergency vehicle upfits for our Public Safety partners throughout the Midwest. We also provide communications and safety solutions for private sector business customers. SMTP is looking for a motivated, go-getter to join our team as an Installation/Upfit Technician to install, service, and repair Emergency Vehicle Equipment and Two Way Radio Systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install Emergency Lighting, Prisoner Cages, Camera Systems, Consoles, Radios, etc...
- Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous Emergency Lighting and Radio Installation Experience a plus
- Familiarity with 12volt vehicle electrical systems
- Will train the right individual
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Perform Quality Work and Pride in Workmanship a must
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Must be able to submit and clean background check.
Compensation:
$18-$25/hour with quick advancement and pay increase once trained
Work Hours & Schedule:
Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
